Possible new job and major move......

Well, my wife and I have lived in the DC/Maryland area my entire 37 years with the exception of 3 years. My and my wife's families are all still here. However, over the past month, things have been coming together for me to take a huge career move to Raleigh, NC. Jen (my wife) and I have always said that we would love to eventually relocate to the Carolinas. It would be a major career advancement, getting to a place where I would be the youngest by about 15 years and also get a huge increase in pay, which would allow my wife to stay home and be with the kids more. Jen and I feel as though this is the time for us to relocate considering our daughters are 7 and 3. It isn't that far away and everyone in the family has ties to North Carolina in some way or another so visits will be frequent. Considering Raleigh was named the #1 place to live in the US and we have been there dozens of times for travel and business in the past, we feel very comfortable. Anyone have any experience with the area (good or bad). I interview on the 8th and my wife spends the day with the realtors. This is a move that we could see ourselves for the next 20 years.
Any good thoughts you all can send would be appreciated; I don't know who I am up against but need all the help I can get.

Good luck Shawn. I think it's a no-brainer. You're young so you should make moves now and reap the benefits asap, especially when everything sounds so positive....the negatives are far outweighed and you get to experience a new chapter.
Go for it....and sell me the camper : - )CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Thanks Mark! I might need to sell the camper actually........the HOA's that we have been searching do not allow them in the yards or driveways. HahahahahaShawn
