Take a trip back to 1979 and the golden age with this Yamaha CR 840 60 watt per channel AM/FM receiver with original box and packing. I am the secound owner. The 8 is conservative as it is in beautiful shape. There are a couple of light scratches on the very bottom of one of the wood sides but very hard to see. All functions work with the exception of the meter lights which are out BUT I have the new bulbs which will be included. The dial bulbs are all new . The power cord was cut so it has been fixed<br>Unit sounds great with a nice phono section and headphone amp. The sound is full bodied and accurate. It is just beautiful to look at as well. Asking $185.00 Thanks

The CR-8X0s are very nice Yamaha receivers. I'm listening to my earlier CR-800 at the moment, and A/B-ing it to my tube amp...and you know, it's not embarrassing itself at all. Sounds absolutely wonderful with Polk Monitors or ADS bookshelves. (Actually, I'm comparing the FM/Stereo sound...the Yammies have pretty nice tuners in there!)
Would make someone a nice vintage office or Den system.
