Sony DVP-CX985V 400 DVD Changer - Does SACD!

Hi folks,

Here's a 400 disc DVD changer that will do SACD via 5.1 analog outs. I've had it for a while and bought it to catalog part of my DVD collection. After moving to HD DVD and BD, I use it for SACD playback. It's nice to use the shuffle feature and see what comes up. It also has an on-screen directory, so its pretty convenient to use. I've added a bunch of DVD-A discs to my collection and Sony gear won't play them, (Format War V 2.0) so my Oppo DV-980H gets most of the multi channel hirez duties these days. It will do DTS discs, though.

I have the original manual and remote. $150 plus shipping seems to be about right based on eBay pricing, although this unit seems to be in better shape.

    Might be a dumb question, but can you just use the R/L outs for 2-channel SACD playback?

    Manual doesn't talk to it specifically, but it has to be the only way to get the signal from a stereo SACD. So I'd say Yes.
