I figured I would list these here as well in case someone is interested.

I am down sizing - I want to get something cheaper and put some money back into my pocket. The amount of time I listen to my rig versus what is sitting here makes no sense.

http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?ampstran&1324867334&item

I am asking $3,000 shipped for the amplifiers.

I would be willing to work a deal out for Polkies of course.

Let me know if interested! Thanks! :)

    Thanks!

I am willing to accept trades -

Pair of Parasound A23 ($1300 credit)
    Parasound A21 ($1500 credit)
Odyssey Audio Stratos Extreme Monoblocks ($1500 credit)
Odyssey Audio Khartago Monoblocks ($1300 credit)
Odyssey Audio Stratos Plus Monoblocks ($1400 credit)
Odyssey Audio Stratos Monoblocks ($1300 credit)
Will also accept stereo versions of the Odyssey amps, same amount of credit

Any Odyssey amps must have at minimum the red board and newer components, no green boards or funky colors. Black or silver.

Both parties pay their own shipping, prefer original boxes and will of course need to see pictures of the amplifiers.

Your Audiogon advertisment could use some tweaking.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Im open to suggestions.

I have had a few emails off of it -

On audiogon I have seen ads that range from "This item is great." to a nice well written article and they all seem to sell in about the same manner... lol

But I will definitely take any advice that will help sell these :)

    Thanks

Can you explain the 'boards' thing? I have an Odyssey Dual Mono amp - not sure what 'board' means (I'm not a technical guy). More out of curiosity than anything. Thanks, and good luck with the sale!

It's your ad not mine. I'm sure you have gotten hits since it's a very well built item and even the worse ads get hits. The ad is functional and I'm just saying you could have worded some things differently, better and maybe already sold it but what do I know

Odyssey has had several "upgrades" if you will - there are the original Green boards which date back to the beginning of Odyssey...

The second upgraded style of amplifier is the red board, the red board was the current most recent board until the new black boards which are double traced and are used in the "Glass ceiling" or all the way to Kismet...

Usually on the glass ceiling he will use multiple small transformers and symphonic line filter caps on the board and odyssey branded caps as additional filter caps mounted to the chasis. When you get to Kismet you get all Symphonic Line caps throughout, a beefier transformer and the best boards offered with extremely heavy duty upgraded internal wiring...

Lots of variations of Odyssey amps - and for instance on the glass ceiling instead of filter caps being bypassed by WIMA capacitors they are bypassed by Sonicaps...

Etc etc etc - Hope this helps...

Pretty much all Odyssey amplifiers are based off the Symphonic Line RG11 -

    See attached -

That design is basically a Stratos or a Khartago bare bones - a Khartago is essentially a Stratos in a smaller case with a slightly smaller transformer...

Then you have the Stratos Plus (which can also be included in a Khartago) - basically gives you four more filter capacitors

Then you have the Stratos Extreme Which gives you six additional filter caps and dual transformers

Then you have the Stratos Glass ceiling which is basically the Extreme with Sonicap used in critical paths, upgraded wiring and black boards

Then you have the Kismet which is basically Symphonic Line RG11 but with more filter capacitance, high end black boards and the larger transformer. Technically on a regular Kismet you get the new high end Odyssey case.

The RG11 sells for 3500 Euros which is 4,900 US dollars.

    So yada yada lol

Eh it is not really hijack per say - I mean we are still talking about Odyssey amps and why they are awesome.

Did I mention these have a transferable 19.7 years of warranty left? OMG!

Shouldn't be a problem at all.
