What was the SL2000 replacement befor 194s??

I know a person who bought some used SDAs 10 years ago and had one damaged in shipping. Polk sent him new replacemnt 6510s and 6511s and for the tweetes sent him SL2500s to replace the SL2000s Does this work?? Were the 2500s the replacement before 194s???

    As far as I know the 2500 were not a replacement for the SL-2000. When I bought my SDA 2A's (used) they had 2500's in them. When I called Polk about that, they said it would not mach the xover in the SDA's and I had to put in either the 2000's or the RDO-194's

    I agree with chandler. No SDA came with 2500s, which were released concurrently with the SL3000 tweeter--SDAs got the better 3000.

    Pretty sure that the SL2500 was original equipment only in Monitor Series 2 speakers and the RTA-8TLs.

    If your friends SDAs came were TLs, RDO198 is the correct tweeter. If they shipped with SL2000s, RDO194 is correct.

    SL3000/RDO198-1 will replace the SL2500, so the SL2500 is not an SL2000/RDO194-1 compatible tweeter.
