Im looking at these and see I can get peachtree for less than half the cost of quickbooks.

Sooo,is quickbooks that much better?

The register I have on the way will be able to upload end of day reports direct into either program.

So what do you use and why?

Im new to this stuff so excuse my ignorance.

I currently use and prefer PeachTree and have found it be more user friendly than QuickBooks and easier to follow transactions in the system. They both do the same things at the end of the day, there are only more robust versions. Make sure you are comparing the same version: i.e. personal, small business, small business plus, inventory management etc. and whether tax support is included. QuickBooks is the Microsft product if that makes a difference, I am not sure who currently owns PeachTree, I think its Sage. Both are well supported and you can get accounting help not just technical help, for the right price.
