I just learned today that I lost a friend to cancer at the age of 38.
He was told he had cancer and he died a short two weeks later, very sad. He left behind a son and a wife that
is currently 4 months along with their second child. He was also building their dream house on his own and now
is left incomplete. VERY SAD

Mike will sure be missed:cry:

Sorry for your loss Jon. That's what boggles my mind....you find out you have cancer and then you die in two weeks. WTF?! How is that even possible without having some kind of heads-up? Just wow man.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Found out from a friend that about 10 years ago he had a mole removed that tested for cancer, he thought every thing was fine because he felt fine. He didn't talk to much about it to anyone so none of us really knew.
Well about a month ago he started to hurt alot when he walked and went to local ER and they heard some rattling in his lungs and sent him to a specailist and that was when he found out it was in his lungs , liver and bones ( all over). He passed in his sleep with his wife by his side, his son was at home with family.

Wow, two weeks. And here I thought that the 6 months from diagnosis to death with my dad's lung cancer was short. Condolences, man...

Very sad to go so young, but he did far better than the multitudes of children that pass at 1,2,3 years old that never even have a chance to get started in life.(Saint Judes Hospital is my biggest charity contribution) Melanoma is very deadly stuff, I've had 2 friends and an uncle die from it, none of them were as young as 38, however. I hope your friend's widow and children have a lot of supportive people in their lives, they will need them for a long time to come.

My condolences. I had a friend go the same way; one weekend we're digging a ditch thru his backyard for a fountain, a few days later he's diagnosed with cancer---2 weeks later, he's gone.

I think a good 'ole fashioned community "House-Raising" is in order here. If you can organize such a thing these days, count me in.

God bless his family at this time of loss. A true tragedy.
