Just got back from a wonderful time spent in Romania for the past 2 and half weeks. Not quite as warm as the weather in Florida that I see some of you enjoyed lol. Definitely was way too short, and now I have to get back to the daily grind tomorrow, very sad it had to end. What a great time we had, I finally got to meet my girl's family in person and some friends. Her niece is so cute and such a little fire cracker lol. They had fireworks the one night and it shamed many of the 4th of July displays I have seen here in the US, have to step up our game lol. We got to do some traveling through the mountains as we went to visit some of my relatives as well. Got to spend some time at my grandparent's old house. And holy sheet the mountain roads, talk about a driver's dream with the twisties, definitely an enjoyable drive, lucky for us we didn't hit any snow covered roads Got to see some of the night life there on saturday since it was my girls bday and enjoyed a great time at some pubs. It was kinda weird seeing people smoking inside since they don't have the smoking ban there, and since neither of us smoke it kind sucked lol. Have a few pics of the couple thousand we took(well mostly she took lol)

Yes we will definitely be going back. I haven't been back to visit since I was a kid. Too many places to still see that we couldn't do in such a short amount of time. She still wants to take me to the city she was born in, near the Black Sea. And yes we have tons of pics from the rural areas:cheesygrin:

If you're looking at the same thing I am, it is an open hole well, not an out house. See the bucket crank?

Yeppers we saw gypsies lol...I got my picture taken with an older gypsy woman on the day of the fireworks. Driving to her parents we saw a community where the rich gypsies live, huge freaking houses:eek:

Terrain looks very familiar to me--a lot like many Balkan countries (although only some of Romania borders on the Balkan Peninsula)--people don't realize how beautiful those mountains can be!

    Nice pics!

I know its the wide angle distortion, but did you notice how that photo makes your right foot look 5 sizes larger than your left?

Thank you! Yes they are very beautiful indeed...nothing like traveling through a beautiful place with a beautiful woman on your arm. Although don't ask me how I got this beautiful woman, I'm still stumped as to why she's with me lol:eek:

Thank you! It was a great trip, a little hard on her though once the trip had to come to end...rather tough living so far away from loved ones.

My girl definitely has the accent, not such a thick accent as some though since she has known English since the age of 9.....she's also a complete sweetheart with a great personality as I said before:biggrin: She has lots of hot friends over there as well if anyone's interested:wink: JK lol

I grew up on the food, Hungarian but born in Romania....but my girl takes the traditional foods and puts her own spin on the recipes, she definitely keeps her man satisfied in many ways lol.
