Finding a driver for my RT-10 speakers.
Some how on one of RT-10 speakers I own the voice coil has begun to rub. :sad: I have realized these drivers (MW8002) are going to be quite difficult to find... Polk doesn't have anymore, and wont be getting any. Parts Express has nothing comparable. Does anyone on here have any clues, or hints for me? Is there hope for listening to my speakers again???

Hello,
Sometimes if the voice coil is not severely damaged you can take the driver out, rotate it 180 degrees and reinstall it. This can reposition the coil in such a way that it will no longer rub. Give it a try and see what happens.

This was the first thing I tried. Unfortunately it didn't help. The voice coil rub is actually more like a grind... :sad:
