He had to have his cat, Mickey, put to sleep today:sad: Very unexpected...he called me up and we had a good cry together. My cat Chloe is the same age as Mickey, 17, so while that is pretty old I and he would have preferred even older...his name is Mark...thanks guys!

    feeling the pain with ya. Putting down an animal, especially one youve had for some many years is heartbreaking. I almost didnt get another dog after my last one passed away, it hurts knowing that itll just happen again. But Im happy I did. Ended up with one of the greatest goofy dogs you could get :) so theres always a silver lining with something bad like this

    As others have said, it is a very difficult thing to do; I know. However, I'm sure it was for the best, as I would never want my cat to suffer.

    bummer, but 17 years and a good life is a good thing for the kitty. Mickey will always be missed...cherish the memories.
    Jasper is the last of 3 cats we have had and she's close to 19 so I know it won't be long for us too..... again.

    My condolences. I've been there as well. Tami made it to 20 & Oscar made it to 13. It hurts for a while but time does heal...
