I know that listening is the best but there arent many places that I can audition speakers that I think I would like. The room I am putting them in is a sunken family room about 20x25 with vaulted ceilings. It is a typical florida style room with tile floors and much glass across the back of the room. It is equally important to play music on the speakers as movies. I have a Sammy 64" D8000 and am looking to upgrade an old amp and a Boston 5.1 satellite system to a Pioneer Elite VSX-53 or a Onkyo 809. I was interested ti RTI A7's for FL and FR but was worried they may sound too bright. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!!!!!

Money you are willing to spend will be your starting point.

I'm on my 4th pair of Polks. I never have a problem picking Polk as I know I'm gonna get good sound for my money, and I like the way they sound. I have bought them without listening to them first and have never been disappointed.

Whatever speakers you buy, get a good AVR or amps as Polks sound real nice with good power.

Polk has an E-Bay store where you can get good deals and Amazon is a good source for good prices too.

Just got a pair of rti a7s. They sound great with my pioneer elite vsx-33. I plan on adding a parasound hca1500 as soon as i get off my **** and rearange my liveing room. I hear they are even more impressive with power behind them. If your not going to put an amp with them i would suggest looking into a pioneer elite sc-35. I wish i did.
