Does such a thing exist....in a mid-sized flat panel?
I need a clean install of just a flat panel TV mounted on the wall...no wires, boxes, TV stands, or any other crap.
Does such a TV exist, or any other ideas to achieve the above?

Your question made me curious, so did a little googling. Didn't find a lot of results, and the results that showed up were not very encouraging.
A Humax :eek: 20" LCD integrated off of Amazon from about 4 years ago. One negative review brought up an interesting point:
"I purchased this unit approximately one year ago at Best Buy for $568.00. Due to an extensive remodeling project, the TV was just plugged in and the receiver does not work! Direct TV will take zero responsibility for this! Their excuse is that the TV is made by HUMAX and that the receiver isn't made by them either.

Few hits on google, which would make me think that the idea was tried and not very popular/successful. That's just a guess, though.
There was a thread on CP a little while ago about integrated TV/BluRay players. Some folks in that thread expressed an opinion that I share: start "glopping" a lot of devices into 1 unit and when one goes bad (Murphy's Law says it will), then it's a bigger pain in the rear to fix. (substitute "DirectTV" for "BluRay").
One of our installer Polkies will certainly have more real-world, hands on experience and advice, to be sure.
I know you're looking for a clean install, maybe a projection unit would have what your looking for ?
Mantis will probably have some input on this.Sal Palooza -

I suppose you could also investigate on of the wireless solutions available. Its gonna be a "box" nonetheless but may be smaller & lighter weight than a cable box plus do other devices. I know Vizio makes a cheap one that sells at Cosco. Gefen & Phillips have pricey versions but I'm sure there are others. What about just running the HDMI cable behind (or up in a nice conduit) the wall?Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p
Amp = Carver AV-705THX 5-Channel
Processor = NAD T747
Panasonic BD35 Blu-Ray
Main = SDA-1C Studio with RD0s, spikes, XO rebuild, rings, I/C upgrade

Music/Video Streaming = Netgear NEO550
TT = Audio Technica
