I bought these a little while back. Always wanted a big pair of old Infinity's. From the get go they just didn't seem to have the sound I thought they should, lack of bass etc. Well today I pulled the XO plates and here is what I found.
What a mess....
Something has came apart! lol
This is what the other one looks like.
Money is TIGHT! Are these speakers worth updating the crossovers? Cheapest route possible? I noticed the woofers seem to be wired correct. Any suggestions on lack of bass? Maybe I am expecting too much from them?

Did one of the caps explode? It seriously looks as though the small electrolytic on the black board exploded?

In the last pic, the silver cap that is parallel to the magnet wrapped thingy, that is connected to the big crusty pot. That is the cap that came apart. Don't think it happened since I bought them though.--Gary--
