Realizing the obvious limitations, Fritz Carbon 7 monitor's in action. I've been meaning to do a video with mine, but my camera mic is awful. This video would be better if the "yackity-yack" in the background would shut his pie-hole:

Carbon 7's are a nice speaker. I heard them once here in Richmond about six months ago. A very polite speaker that is pretty good across the board for most genres of music. Ever since I talked to Sean (anyone heard from him?) about these I have thought about buying a pair every few months. I cannot for the life of me though remember anything that stood out except "polite" in my mind. I remember wishing they had a little more resolution to equal out their smoothness. I was also pleasantly surprised about the bass. The bass was much deeper than I imagined and what came out of the little speaker was nice and puncy while being nicely controlled and not sloppy. I would have to hear them a few more times before I pass final judgement. They are on my shortlist along with a few others. I hope you shoot a little video of yours Steve. Would love to hear them in action.
    Everything matters. That is all.
Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure can buy a bad **** boat to pull up along side it though.

I need a better digital cam. I've tried videoing (is that a word?) them, and no matter where I place the camera, or how I adjust the volume, it sounds like crap. I've got just a simple canon point-n-shoot.

PRECISELY why I love them. Linearity, smoothness. You need to hear them for extended period. Ask Fritz if he has a loaner pair available.

The first couple days I had them, I first noted the bass output. Being a tower guy most of my life, it was my biggest concern returning to a smaller speaker. I was not at all disappointed. Not only was bass extended, sans my AR9Lsi's, it was the most accurate portrayal of lower bass notes I've heard. It took a few days to really begin to appreciate the "politeness" of the treble, and accuracy of the midrange. After day 5, I was hooked; and any thought of buyers remorse was completely gone. They tame bright material (ie, David Benoit, "Every Step of the Way"--an excellent recording, but tilted in the treble) and give some dimensionality to lifeless/otherwise mundane recordings.
