Anyone watched this yet? It looks like the first episode is on Amazon Prime Instant. I normally like his stuff, surprised a thread didn't get started, did I miss it?

Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend, too bad none of my devices stream Amazon Prime content, guess I'll have to watch it on my 37" gaming monitor instead

I only watched a small bit of one episode, but I want to watch it all. They were discussing the Valentines Day Massacre and I became instantly hooked! I'm assuming that this will be added to Netflix streaming like many other Ken Burns documentaries.

if you go to the PBS web site, you can watch it for free.... they used to have the complete episodes but now it's broken up into chapters...

If you happen to also watch the HBO Boardwalk Empire series it will be enriched by watching Prohibition. For example, in a recent Boardwalk Empire episode a brief dialog mentioned the name George Remus who was a huge Ohio bootlegger. Burn's film devotes a lot of time to this "colorful" character so when I heard it in Boardwalk Empire I was instantly aware of who they were talking about. Without watching Prohibition, I would of totally missed this interesting detail.

I watched the series and it's quite phenomenal! Heck of an education as well. I think it's amazing how much of went on back then, mirrors what goes on today. During many parts, I was saying to myself..."We've learned nothing!"

Definitely watch the series. Ken Burns ROCKS!
    No excuses!
