Man, it sure is crazy around here. My wife got the day off as did alot of students and teachers. Here' the story. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/herpes-monkey-still-loose-ohio-exotic-animal-break-200156064.html

I actually met the owner of the animals once. He had a little bear cub with him. It's a shame that almost all of the animals had to be killed. But public safety was definently more important.

    We were just talking about a trip to "The Wilds" a few days before the escape (it's a 2-1/2 hour drive and well worth it). It's a shame this happened.

    Bingo....not to mention he was arrested 5 years ago for animal abuse. I have to question how you get Giraffes, bears, endangered Bengal Tigers, without questions being asked. Not like the meter reader didn't know, hell, probably had to change his/her shorts everytime they came by. Probably not a favorite stop for the local girl scouts selling cookies either. Cable guy ?? Ha !!

    Someone in that village has to be accountable for letting this guy go on like this. Not like it was an exotic bird. There will be an investigation I tell ya.....and the findings.....I already know.

    They had Jack Hanna on the news last night. He was on the scene, and said Ohio has no laws against owning any kind of wild animals.

    Here in Michigan, it's illegal to even care for a wild animal without a permit, let alone own one. They fined a woman just this summer, because she and her daughter nursed a fawn back to health.

    See, now how does nursing a fawn back to health put the general public in danger ? Thats where common sense has to be injected into this. Maybe now the politicians would move on some sort of legislation to take care of this in the future instead of going after crap like table salt or pop in schools.
