Alright so I am building a home theatre in my basement. I just bought 2 Monitor 70's for the fronts and the OWM3's for the back. I dropped the ball big time and didn't order in time so I missed out on a great deal on the CS2 Series II. I am looking for a center speaker that would work really well with my system! Is the CS2 Series II and the CS2 the same thing? When I check around on most sites it says the CS2, but on newegg where i ordered from it says CS2 Series II. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes the are the same speaker the only difference between the regular cs2 and the series II is when you take the grill off the speakers the older model were silver and the new models are black. Newegg constantly puts them on sale wait a few weeks and they will be back on sale. And yes the cs2 is the perfect match for your 70's.

ok cool. what about the polk ebay store. they have them for 112.50 factory refurbished which isn't much different from the 99 that newegg had them for. are they good?

Besides newegg, the polk store is probably the 2nd best place to get stuff for cheap. The only thing to consider is where you got he 70's from. Because only newegg carries the series II, and besides the speaker surrounds being black (II) /silver (I) - the grills are also different colors (Black for II, Grey for I). So you do not want to buy the series II 70's from the egg and then buy the center from Polk. Unless of course you won't mind your speakers being different colors. Personally, I would just wait. Those speakers go on sale every other week.

ok thanks for the information. Upon looking at the polk ebay store closer they also have the Series II which are the black ones. So that is good. But is the quality any worse being factory refurbished?

No. Polk's refurbs from their ebay store are legit. Most people can't find any flaws.

also one other question that I have is who has a good stand for the CS2? I want one that sits about a foot to 18 inches off of the ground? It is going to sit right underneath the projection screen.
