RT3000p

Just saw my first RT3000p. I went to my CC in Raleigh NC to pick up a pair of rti38s on closeout (167 a pair NIB...sweeet) and wondered into one of the sound rooms to see if they had anything interesting.
Besides the open-box rti100 for $149 (only 1, bummer) they also had a big-**** box with the old polk logo...upon inspection this proved to be a rt3000p sub. I asked the sales guy where they had dug it up and he said they found it in the back and had just put it out.
I started to drool.
He went to look a price and found that it was listed in their inventory as an open box (although the box was sealed) and the price was $499. Not really a bargain.
But we did get to open it up and listen. Note - It was probably a return that went back for repairs, because the manual did prove to be missing.
Initial impression -
This thing really goes low! It is also a sharp-looking product...pretty much the lower half of an rt2000i with a stronger amp. It was a nice dark brown veneer too. Also loved the front volume control.
Unfortunately, there was some rattling going on with the top driver....so it didn't get to go home with me.
If anyone is in the market for one of these beasts and in the Raleigh NC area you might go by for a look. The rattle wasn't bad---maybe just some tightening required, and cosmetically the unit is perfect.
Sorry for the crappy review - I didn't have time to check it out properly.
