It is song #6 on that awsome CD for 3.00+ that you found. GET IT! listen to song 4 and 5 for something AMAZING.;-)
Here you go and everybody else should give this a listen too. I've turned 100'ds on to this by demoing my speakers when selling them.
It's worth the 13.00 amazon is charging...Believe me!!

I kinda like that DARK rythmic overtone without grunge type screaming. Pretty cool stuff with a female singer at times also. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
I use official USAC cd's personally. Cause well, they are made for Bass!!!!!!
They have various bass tracks as well as test tones. sine sweeps, hz tones from 20hz-89hz. You name it.Living Room Rig:D

This is a country band but more modern, almost folk. But a very well recorded CD.

I like to crank up the drum solo tracks off the Sheffield Labs Drum album.
A really good bassy tune I find is by Bass Mekaniks - Low Roads, that song is awesome to crank up.
Or if you want retarded low that CAN bottom out, Basstronics - Bass, I love you -
Madonna's American Life and No Doubt's Girls Get The Boys In The Back (remix of Hey Baby found on No Doubt The Singles CD) are my two go to tunes for true torture of system bottom end. They really show off a systems low frequencies. WARNING... turn the bass down if you can adjust. These songs can toast drivers.SDA-1C (full mods)

Blue Man Group "Audio" (CD).
Only one track on the album, but the song Way Down Deep on Jennifer Warnes' album The Hunter is great for diagnosing loose screws on one's loudspeakers (or pretty much anything else loose in the house).
EDIT: Oh, and of course, any good recording of Copeland's "Fanfare for the Common Man"; quintessential "boom-boom" music. There's nice (early) Telarc digital recording - which I have on a cheapie Telarc CD sampler from years back - and a fine sounding analog version on the Direct to Disk (the vinyl kind) album Sonic Fireworks, Vol. 1 on Crystal Clear, from those Wild and Crazy Seventies. -
Bela Fleck "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo" has some attention getting bass.

the hsu forum has a thread on great bass tracks to work out the sub. Same with svs that highlights both music and movies that give a heck of a workout... For a different vibe, Saint Saens (classical) the pipe organ goes unbelievably low if you have a good setup.Fronts: Wharfedale diamond 9.6
Sub: Wharfedale sw250
Rears: Wharfedale diamond 9.1
Center: Paradigm cc-350
Pre-amp: Oppo dv981hd
Amp for fronts: Parasound hca-1500a
Amp for rears: Adcom gfa-5400
Amp for center: Marantz MA500 monoblock

ANYONE. GO TO POST #12 and click . GREAT VIDEO.

Gotta be a dozen threads on this topic, but looks like some new contenders here...
There are a lot of CD's with a track here or there that'll dust the rafters for you, but I know of none that matches Portishead - Dummy from start to finish.More later,
Tour...
