Been lurking around here for while now, never posting. I have a couple pair of SDA. 1 pair sda-srs 1.2 and 1 pair of sda-srs 2.3tl Had em for a few months now, running the big ones bi-amped with a sunfire cinema grand. The smaller ones are not hooked up right now.

Welcome to Club Polk!
Those are some cool speakers!
Get rid of the toe-in on those 1.2's. For the SDA effect to work properly, they need to be parallel to the front wall, with no toe. The ideal listening position is in the middle, back about 1.5X the distance between the speakers.
Do you have the SDA cable hooked up? I can see a bunch of cables back there, but I can't tell what's what...
So do you need some advice, or are you just showing off??? jk, man!:razz:

Wow! Two pairs of the speakers I would probably like most to have. That's awesome. Congrats on the cool speakers.

Very nice! Are you thinkin' about any mods?"Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -
Im planning on recapping and bypassing polyswitches. They are a little weaker then i would like them to be on the mains. I'd also like to make the switch to sl-3000 or rd1098-1. The 2.3's have 3 blown sl-3000's so its rd1098-1 for them too. I got them off of craigslist for so dirt cheap some here may actually shed some tears if they knew.

Do tell!!!

Congrats on getting some very clean examples and sorry about the tweeters.
Take some of the pile of $$ money you saved and buy Toolforlifefan rings and face plates. They are VERY afordable and you should do the speakers justice and get the most out of them since your starting way ahead $$$ of the game unlike alot of us but still,
Congrats and hope you participate instead of lurk..
Don't tell!!
But if you must tell, we can take it.
We'll have to.Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
Very nice and welcome to the club.

I've been watching them as well as I'm in WI. If you end up picking a pair up let me know! -
I'm on the fence. Have a shopping cart ready to go from Erse for inductors and misc. crap to shove into the 1Bs; which actually fit my listening room.
On the other hand, I'm hot to NOT be tied to a common-ground amp--so something pin-blade sounds very yummy. I just don't have a room big enough.
Lost out on two 2.3TLs last summer. Bad luck. Bad timing. Bad Juju. Or something. -

And yet you're trying to sell them on Audiogon!?! Yeah, 2+2 is not equaling 4 here.Political Correctness'.........defined

Well at least his opening statement is comparable.

Hopefully the Storm has passed.

Everything I own is always for sale, I rotate stock quite often- auditioning, buying and selling. The 1.2's are most likely going to be staying unless I get exactly what I want for them. The 2.3's on the other hand are likely going to be sold.
-

No pro gear being used. Not extension cord, it's 12-2 speaker wire for in wall installation. -

The 1.2's are currently my mains in my HT setup, the polyswitches do not trip under normal listening conditions. Anything approaching reference level and they trip quite easily. I came from a pair of klipsch klf-30's to these, I bought them from a guy in wisconsin as a pair of original sda-srs. I did not find out they were the 1.2's until a few days later. I was quite disappointed in their sound initially, and tried several options with amplification. At the time I had an adcom gfa-5800 and a carver m1.0t. I tried running them off each amp individually as well as several bi-amp configurations. I found that these would clip quite easily. I happened across the sunfire amp on CL about 2 months ago and haven't looked back. -
