After a long 7 month wait, I finally got my SDA cable from Ben today! It looks good and I can't wait to try it out.

My last nasty-gram post apparently worked and it lit a fire under his butt! I really hope it didn't cause any ill-will among other polkies.

Anyway, thanks to all the folks who offerd to help me out.

Have a good one!

i hope ben pulls himself outta this mess...he upgraded my xovers, made an sda cable for and an i/c...these are all flawless in performance for years and his communication and turnaround were fast..whatever happened to him is unfortunate...all i can attest to now is the quality of his work 4 years ago...i hope he pulls it together

I did a quick cable test during lunch and I must say, it was a definite improvement over my slightly frayed stock cable. I'm actually surprised at the difference in clarity. I guess "everything matters"

Would not happen to be Boston's would it? Spent a few nights there and a lot at the Doll House in Pompano in my younger days.

Ha ha, I think it was the border jockeying. I thought it was all in good fun, but hey, eh, I'm just a dumb hick on an island called the conch republic which seceded where others failed, so what do I know.

Thanks zingo. I just may take you up on that when it comes time to do my crossovers. Right now my level of SDA enthusiasm greatly outweighs my soldering skills (and apparently my ability to spell Lou Reed).

    . . . I considered Ben a friend . . . .

Same here; I've sent him a small fortune for cables and custom work. But in retrospect there was always something that made each transaction a bit less than smooth. It's just sad it's played out as it has.

I want to add one last thing to this thread:

    1. While I didn't know Ben it seemed his actions were not in the best interest of CP. You just don't pull that kind of stunt with people regardless of what's happening. Appears to be a nice dude but made some poor choices. It's sad that his trust was abused by his own self. I certainly wouldn't want to affiliate.

    2. I had nothing to do with the removal of the posts. I apologize that things got out of hand. Everyone has opinions. However, I find that I should just not voice them at all. I'm passionate about this hobby like everyone else. I guess I just speak out on certain things. All I'm trying to do is fit in and make some new friends and learn. Unfortunately, there are always some bad apples within the pile.

BTW nooshinjohn - That episode is f'n hilarious.

More like a shaker of salt for me, and along with life's lemons we can add some rum and have some fun. Here on this island we are allowed to openly make fun of everyone, because if you hear someone makefun, look who's talking. Were here cause were not all there.
