i'm not one to get hung up on looks, but if I was paying a hundred grand for any piece of gear it better be a hell of a lot sexier than that thing.

For 100 k yup any shade you want  The sad thing is the paint job on the one in the auction is awful looks like they sprayed during a dust storm and then didnt add any dryer to it. And of of course just the standard shipping option for 100 k it should be over night express.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

I believe the price is supposed to be $3k, which still seems a little high.

For that price you could send this piece into orbit so that 'gravity' did not have any effect on the stylus tracking! Ah gravity, and friction, and needles and the Diamond stylus, and tracking and anti-skating and the 180g vinyl that holds the music. What's a 100K for a mass produced/stamped circle of vinyl that's not even a quarter's worth of materials.

Now I'm not saying that vinyl doesn't sound good. But ridiculous turntable prices are just that! And if you're going to spend that kind of money, just get a RTR tape deck and some First Generation tape sources that will beat 'any' vinyl you have any day of the week, because that's what they 'used' to record that vinyl?

The sad thing is that I've seen 500K TTs? Makes you wonder where the sanity line ends.

I suggest that we donate the monies from absurd TT sales to the U.S. space program--and if we're lucky, we could get the engineers who work on these 'fabulous' TTs to work for NASA! At the very east, they've already been 'educated' in how to spend TOO much money! lol

For $100k, the body should be hand carved from a solid block of burled walnut, or mahogany, with gold-leaf inlays, etc.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!
