My brother got this movie and I watched it yesterday. I haven't seen The Ring but Ringu is the original version. The movie is in DD/Japanese Language/English Subtitled.

This movie is one of the scariest movie I've ever seen. The last movie that really scared the crap out of me was The Others. I think this one's creepier.

I don't have 5.1 yet so I watched the movie in 2.1 using my XBox as a DVD player. The sound quality is very good and the dynamics made me jump a few times. The bass was also powerful.

Picture quality is above average. The tinted quality used to show scenes that happened in the past was very effective.

If you feel like getting scared check out Ringu. It kept me on the edge of my seat for two hours.

I'll check out Battle Royal. Thanks.
What are the names of the other Ringu sequels? Are they as good as Ringu? Scarier? I'm telling you, that movie fu#ked me up! I always have a smoke outside before going to bed and sometimes I get really scared out there when I think about the movie. That girl is creepy as hell. I had goosebumps throughout the entire movie.

There's Ringu, Ring 2, and Ring-O. Ring 2 picks up where the original left off. If you remember how she saved the kid in the original (which is different that the american version), it basically continues the story, but with different characters. Ring-O is the story of Sadako, and how she became how she is. I believe they are working on a fourth one. The sequals are not as creepy as the first one, but still worth seeing.

Battle Royal is a pretty violent movie. Subtitle is not up to par, but interesting story none the less.
