b and k avp 4090 for 450?

Its on audiogon, im looking for a more refined pre than the adcom im now using, would not mind having the surround capabilitys here, but not if sound quality for 2 channell is not up to snuff compared to other choices, thanks in advance.

    That's a terrible deal. You can get a Reference 50 for that these days. Or a Reference 20 for a quarter of that, both of which are newer and have more capabilities.

    Mind you, it's not a bad piece of gear, but $50-$100 would be a reasonable price.

    While I think it is a bad deal also, I am unsure if 50-100 is reasonable.

    In either case unc is right. Step away from the B&K.

    Just saw a Ref 30 on craigslist I think for 250......that 4090 guy is smoking dope.
