Let's see what everyone is litening to right now. My most recent purchase is:
Dimmu Borgir "Death Cult Armageddon"
Primal Fear "Black Sun"
Amon Amarth "The Avenger"
Sarah Brightman "Eden"

Dimmu is awesome. This time they used a real orchestra for the recording. Extremely heavy black/symphonic metal.

Primal Fear. I saw them play at the 2003 Metal Gods Tour and thought they sound awesome. Very good power metal.

Amon Amarth. As good as their newest album. Viking type metal with very fast drumming, fast guitars and subsonic growling from the vocalist. I also saw them live with Primal Fear.

Sarah Brightman. Very good stuff. She's an amazing soprano. This album is softer than "La Luna" and "Harem" but just as good.

Just picked up Jaco Pastorns Big Band - Word of Mouth Revisited, and listening to it right now. Very Dynamic, clean recording, interesting big band! lots of free flow improv, track # 8 - Killing Me Softly is nicely done. It's on sale at CC for $12.99...
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Now is it really subsonic, cause you know all the SVS-heads around here would go pick it up in a heartbeat!

Just picked up Verticle Horizion's new album Go (What an imaginative title - They must have thought long and hard to come up with this one  ). Just listened to parts of a few tracks in the car but so far it sounds ok.

Pink Floyd - Live in Pompei. It's an import I got from E-bay. Location Minsk. Unfortunately I paid about a buck more than the BIN that I passed on when I was the first bid.

We don't buy many CDs anymore, but this is the latest edition to the old collection. My wife heard her play live in a bar in Anchorage last month. No mind-blowing bass... nice background music and a couple of tunes that get your toes tapping. Sort of a breathy voice.

I forgot to pick up vertical horizon's new one. I hope it's good, I loved 'everything you want' I picked up Fuel's new one Natural Selection. Not bad, not amazing, either, on par with their last one.

A Perfect Circle - 13th Step. Good stuff, so far appears to be on par with the first one (one of my favorite albums, Mer de Noms). Basically a mellower Tool. I'm a fan of Maynard, so I'll follow whatever project he's working on. Anyone else hear he's working with Trent Reznor? That would be interesting. I saw APC open for NiN a few years ago and it was awesome.

BTW: It showed $13.99 at Best Buy, but rang up at $9.99.

Yes, some of his stuff is great. Some of it I find is a little over board though. Great on vinyl.

Well, you have to nab "Tupelo Honey"...

Me, won Robbie Robertson's self-titled on MFSL Gold disc...

Vinyl was Siegel Schwall Band's (a fine Chicago Blues band) "953 West".

    Both are "in the mail"....
    More later,
    Tour...
