Yeah, I've still got one of those hybrid ss / tube amps & ipod docks. Just love the little guy. While any ipod will play through the system, my iPhone4 won't. I'm guessing that I need some kind of adapter but have no clue.
Anyone have a clue?

You talking about the Dared MP-5/Fatman/HTC unit?
Those were made before the iPhone came out and I have never seen any kind of adapter.

One thing to try with older docks is to put your iPhone into Airplane mode.

Weird, but I'll sure try it. Thanks"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." Bob Seger

nwohlford - nope, didn't work. Thanks for playing, though.
txcoastal1 - yeah, I love this little goodie. Shocking how good it sounds. Better tubes makes even better sound."Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." Bob Seger -

.
It was worth a shot. Does it work with an iPod touch? -
If your streaming or playing from your SD card like I do , I've been using a "blackberry gateway" plugged into a aux input then Bluetooth from phone . Cheep ( a
round 40.00 + power cord , a buck or so) works fantastic on any pre I tried it on. Great sound and very portable. I move it from system to system and take it with when visiting or buying equip. It has worked with any ph. I used with Bluetooth. Using it now with my EVO. Cheeper than any dock I've seen and better sound quality.Main Rig:
Krell KAV 250a biamped to mid/highs
Parasound HCA1500A biamped to lows
Nakamichi EC100 Active xover

AQ kingcobra ic's
OPPO 83 CDP
Lehmann audio black cube SE phono pre, Audioquest phono wire (ITA1/1)
Denon DP-1200 TT. AToc9ML MC cart.
Monster HTS 3600 power conditioner

nwohlford - don't know. I have an ipod classic & my daughter has a nano & both work just fine. Just wanted to use my iphone & sell the classic.
soundfreak1 - Yeah, I could probably do that, but would rather use the ipod dock that the system came with. It's easier & charges the ipod as well. & The unit comes with an excellent remote too. But thanks anyway for the recommend!"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." Bob Seger
