Since as long as I can remember I have been a diehard Corvette fan. When they started to go GT racing in 1999 I became a huge fan. Since 2002 I have been to at least 2 races a year, to current. My frequency to the track started to get noticed. During these races I am on vacations but these guys are at work so it took some time to start spending time outside of track to start to get to know the guys.
Long story short, in 2009 the ALMS announced they would have an event in Baltimore. Well that's about all it took. The crew said that I was fate that I be on the team.
Corvette Racing is THE top GT race team of modern history. They don't allow "fans" to be on the team. This team wins the pit crew challenge year after year. I asked them if they let "fans" on the the team. They said "never".
Needless to say the event in Baltimore was the time of my life. I was also the social director and since the Vettes weren't "on track" much we had some pretty good play time. Felt like I was 21 again.
I have done several races since Baltimore and the door is pretty much wide open to do it again.
Truely a dream come true for a guy that lives, eats and breathes cars and more importantly, Corvettes.
The pics are of the pit stop, the C6.R and my yellow C6-Z06 and a close up of me in my very own Corvette Racing firesuit.

As a chemistry teacher, your concern for units on numbers pleases me. Your lack of any tie to this thread and the spam in your signature do not please me.
