HSU ULS-15: Anybody Wanna Split a Quad???

So the HSU ULS-15 has my interest peaked. It appears to be the BEST sub out there for music for the price, and they're killer for HT too. It's a sealed box 15, so it can go as low as you'd ever need, but it's quick, smooth, accurate, and not gigantic (18" cube). Dr. Hsu says it's flat to 15hz -1bd, but most reviews I've seen say it's flat in-room to 10hz or even 5hz.:cool:

HSU's pricing gives you a discount the more you buy. I'd love to get a quad for myself (stereo pair for 2-channel and 2 for HT:twisted:), but that's not in the cards right now.

I want to split a quad with someone to save money.

Here's the pricing breakdown, including shipping, for the Rosenut finish:

- (1) $1470

- (2) $2490 (1245 a piece)

- (4) $4575 (2290 for 2) (1145 a piece)

Getting a quad as opposed to singles saves you $325 PER SUB.

If we each get (2) subs, we'll each save $200 vs. if we bought the (2) on our own. If you only want (1), you'll save the $325 vs. buying (1) on your own.

I want (2) subs, so I either need to find (1) person who also wants (2) subs, or (2) people who both want (1) sub.

I live in Northern VA, so the other parties involved need to be willing to drive here or be willing to pay for a second shipment that will eat into your savings. I will drive a couple hours to meet someone if needed.

Whataya think? Any takers?!:question::question::question:

    What a cool concept. I had been eyeing these subs but was turned off by the price. That's a sweet idea there. Too bad I'm cut off from buying any gear until next year it seems. :(

    How soon are you looking to do this? If you can wait until around Thanksgiving, my B-I-L will probably be in the market. Not sure if he'd want 2 though.

    I'm not sure how soon. I'm imagining I'll have to wait a little while to get people lined up.

    I may only want (1) also, so we may need (4) people total, or fewer if someone wants more than (1).
