Cleaning Drivers

I got my MW6600 drivers in the mail today that I found on craigslist. They are brown with Tobacco stains, or they have been left in a garage (really look like tobacco).

Is there anything you can use to clean these with that is safe? I don't want to ruin the rubber surrounds on these. Other than the color they work fine.

Thanks,
Carver C-1, M-500 MKII, Yamaha HTR-5835, Polk RTA 12BM's (M-for mod'd).

Some of the guys here say to use Windex. I have never used it or anything else for that matter to clean a driver though.

From what ive learned, if they work properly, your best to just leave them alone,

Thanks. Windex did a good job. I think I will leave it at that.

The drivers can turn brown simply from age/oxidation. Clean with Windex, as you did, every once in awhile. Use a soft, lint free cotton cloth and always wipe in a circle. Make sure you clean the rubber surrounds as well.
