The defense really came together after the quick start by the Falcons, and overcame a lot of adversity after Clifton left the game.

Offense had a tough time at first, but I think that's mainly because the Falcons drew them away from their usual gameplay (bump and run).

All in all, I enjoyed the game. Showed that the Packers are still champion material, and know how to overcome adversity and injuries.

Never been a fan of the Packers, but they do seem like they might be the team to beat this year! Looks like they might make it back to the Superbowl.

My Falcies really needed that one. And after their first two drives, it looked like it might happen. Now Ryan has three career losses at home....

I guess I should just be glad that I decided at the last minute not to drive down to the Georgia Dome to take this one in last night.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. I'm certainly enjoying it. You have to, because it doesn't last forever.

A couple things, though. The offense is so good that the holes in the defense don't seem to matter. What drives me up a wall is the running plays we call. Some of them work, but many of them do not. I'm thankful Grant and Starks are healthy, but neither of them are that good. Grant is just getting older and he's not the work horse he used to be. I know you need to set up play action with them, etc., but defense have not proven that they can stop Aaron Rodgers. Let his arm and his legs get it done and force a team to shut him down. They just cannot do it. As the commentators said, there's no defense for a perfect pass.

Atlanta gave us our first scare, but I don't think it was tough defense (the Bears have a tough defense) as much as a lack of execution coupled Ryan Grants uncharacteristic fumble that had momentum going Atlanta's way. Emotion alone will not get you through 60 minutes of football. Period.

This league is crazy, though, and nothing is for certain. I'd caution my fellow Pack fans from getting too cocky. Hopefully we can draft some of those fine offensive linemen out of our 2011 Wisconsin Badger squad in the draft. I'd love to see Rodgers with a line that will give him all day to pass in the pocket.

He's better than Favre ever was. He's Favre without the picks and a far more accurate passer.

I appreciated Favre's tenure, but as much as he gave in Green Bay, he also pissed away.

    Honestly, F him.

that game was stupid at some points. sorry but the whole call when the players were just coming out onto the field after the fair catch was called and our player was taken out was just dumb.

Overall go packers. I love it when we do well and Rodgers is awesome at what he does. Also less interceptions than Farve ever had at this point in his career which is a good point. Farve was good but at the end just blah, Rodgers is down to earth and makes some good plays when the time comes. Just don't want them to get cocky and we should have a great season.

Yeah, several of the penalties had even the commentators going "Uh...we're not sure what that is all about". Like the "too many men in huddle" penalty? Rodgers wasn't even IN the huddle when that was called, so no...there weren't too many in the huddle.

Some stats from last night show why the Packers' offense does so well, mainly this one:

Rodgers tied the all-time record for number of receivers used in a single game (12). 12 different people helping to move the ball down the field. It's damn near impossible to guard all the weapons that the Packers have to offer. Also, I believe he has the highest overall (or average) rating of any quarterback (since they started using QB rating)...I think I saw that posted during the game.

Rogers is quickly shaping up to be a GREAT quarterback. I love to watch him play. As far as being Farve's son, that was a joke, but I'm more then sure it didn't hurt him to sit under one of the all time greats for three years out of the gate. I've said for years that the best way to grow a rookie is to have him sit for two to three years under a vet, and Rogers is the prime example. Look how many rookies have been ruined by starting their first season and being tossed to the wolves.

Of course, all of this is just an opinion, and its mine, so take it for what its worth, nothing.

“It's not my job to mentor young quarterbacks." - Brett Favre

Of course, that's when he was worried the young QB would take his job. Now he does whatever he can to get attention from those young QBs and give him his, uh, sage advice.

Take away any quarterback from a successful team and you take away the main avenue of success.
