New RTi line - timbre match
Have anyone mixed current fronts + center (rti70+csi40) with old surrounds + back surrounds (fx300i + cs245i)? Did they match?
My current setup is: CSi30 center, Fxi30 surround, SVS 20-39+ sub and (please dont laugh) as TV/receiver/mains: a Samsung TSK2792FX that has build in a Dolby Pro-logic receiver and two good Polk Audio speakers (I compared them one-to-one with the Fxi30; actually because them I learned about Polk Audio and the rti line).
This setup works well for my rent apartment room but late next summer I gonna buy a house and Ill need a better setup (2x rti70+ Csi40 + 2x Fxi30 + 2xCSi30?!? + SVS 20-39 + Denon 3803 ).
It is hard to decide whether to buy the current line of rti front speakers (2x rti70 + Csi40) and to keep them in boxes for half a year (lack of space in the front of my room)
OR to wait and buy new line (rti8/rti10?) for fronts and to keep the two Fxi30s plus the CSi30 that I have as center (and buy just an extra Csi30. Btw did anyone try two csi30 as surround back?)
Will the new RTi line timbre match the current line? Is it important to match the front speakers with the surrounds? (I know that tweeter match between center and front is)

The New Line sounds NOTHING like the RTxxxi or RTixxx line in the top end. It has the clarity and detail of the Tri Lam, with the smoothness of the Silk all rolled into one. A very different sound to me.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Have you seen them? Have you listened to them?

Welcome to the forum
I think the new line sounds pretty good. I would say in the limited time spent with them, better than the current RTi line. I have only heard the RTi12.
That being said, I would buy the current line simply due to the great prices, and upgrade when they change lineup again.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
