Rti a1 first impressions
Well I finally received my new fronts today, out of the box the mid bass blows away the energy cb5's the replaced. The mode and high do seem pretty weak though. I noticed I need to go much higher on the receiver volume as well. I haven't run audyssey yet and I'm gonna wait to fully break them in before I give a full revirw. Hopefully they will loosen up a bit

Congrats on the A1s - nice speaker.
Definitely re-run Audessey. You'd have to compare speaker efficiency to see if the A1 is more/less efficient that your previous energy speaker.
You may also find that you need to experiment with Audessey to get the best setup (diff sound modes and PEQ profiles).
The screws are for wall mounting - should be fine if you use then on a wall stud - definitely won't work on just drywall.

Yeah I'm gonna rerun audyessy today. The speakers are both rated at 89db so I think they just need to break in. And yes there mounted to a.wall stud.
