I'd like to pick up a set to turn my youngest stepson on to vintage Polk. Anyone have a set they would sell or possibly trade for?

    plus the issue of the fragile magnet glue at this late date on the older/oldest ones. Best to find a pair locally (mid-Atlantic region is probably one of the best bets).

    I've got a pretty nice pair I'd be willing to let go of, but the shipping and packaging from TN (37604)to OK would be close to 60-80 bucks probably, plus I'd want $100 for the speakers.. If anyone was traveling thru I'd be happy to work out details w/ you. If very interested and shipping is not a deal killer let me know and I'll take some pics and post a for sale ad in for sale forum. Your best bet is to keep your eyes open local on CL and estate sales. Maybe compromise and look for a pair of 5's or even 4's to get him started since shipping on them would be reasonable on epay.     Got your PM, I'm doing a rough and dirty shipping calc w/ USPS of a pkg 70lbs 15 x 35 x 30 insured for $250 w/ deliv confirmation of $73.44. Shoot me a PM w/ your ph # and I'll get back w/ you tonight or tomorrow and send a few pics. I'm heading to Wal-Mart or Office Depot later today and will check into bubble wrap, cardboard boxes, and packing peanuts, ect... Before shipping I would need to JB Weld the magnets as well. As MHardy stated the big problem w/ these older Monitors are the magnets shifting. It's probably a 50/50 they survive the trip w/o securing them to the frame first. I've bought some b4 that arrived fine and also have had to deal w/ a couple frozen magnets so that is my greatest concdern w/ shipping- that and any other damage any of the carriers could do.
