I know there's gotta be a decent one out there. I don't need streaming capabilities or anything. Just need something that's glitch free with decent load times. Does one exist for $100 or less?

There are quite a few BR players in that price range. If I was gonna get one like that I would check out places like Wal-Mart online and Amazon. Read customer reviews. I know that a lot of customers reviews don't mean a whole lot since they can't put together coherent thoughts on paper and have a hard time even hooking up equipment that is not plug and play.
In this price range I would be looking at Sony, LG, and Samsung for starters. I'm sure you will be able to find something. -
See if any of these can be found cheaper, specifically the Panasonic DMP-BDT210:

Just picked up the bd-210 and love it. I own 3 different Panny blu ray players and have only good things to say. I got my bd 210 for I think it was $140. They have its little brother the 110 for around $100 and the bd-75 for under $100 at NeweggLiving Room

I picked up the BDP-210 for $130 and then put the free Avatar 3-D Blu ray on Ebay and it sold for $80. So I only paid $50 for a great blu ray player loaded with features. Just an option for you to consider.

Many of the Panasonics are good solid budget players. Don't think you could go wrong with one of them!

Here you go, Sony BDP-S570 refurnished by Sony for $99.99 shipped. Add it to the cart for the $99.99 price. You can thank me later by saving my life in Bf3 on Xbox live!

FYI a coworker and a neighbor of mine have each purchased this unit per my recommendation and have not had any problem with it for a year now. -

So many choices. I appreciate the help, guys. I'm probably going to with the Panasonic with 3D Avatar. No 3D TV here so I can get some of my money back on Ebay. Thanks again!Display: Sony 42" LCD

I've owned several Sony CD players for home and car audio. A couple of Sony DVD players, and now own two Sony Bu Ray players. I have never had a glitch. I even have a Sony portable CD/MP3 disc player in my garage all year round and it plays well even in sub freezing temps.

I picked up the Panasonic 110 this evening. Paid $105. Watching The Matrix Revolutions right now and am very impressed. I love the responsiveness. Load times are very good. And even though I don't have lossless audio capabilities, the audio is much improved over standard dvd. Thanks again for the suggestions. Now to send off the voucher for Avatar 3D.Display: Sony 42" LCD
