Can I do dual 1000's for music only in a room about 22'? x 30' or do I need something larger? I don't want to sell myself short. I know the others in the series have calibration, but this is something that I'm going to have to tweak anyway, right? Is this a good buy, or should I aim higher?

That's a pretty big room. I demoed this sub, just one of them, in a 25' x 11.5' room but the listening area took only 16.5' of that space, and I found one of these subs reaching its 'limit' in that room. So I'd say you need something bigger. They're better suited to rooms no bigger than mine--IMO.
