How would you use those? Have you looked at the recessed baffle cut-out? Based on this photo there is no room to use these. The recessed cut out lip is not wide enough to drill a hole to use these. Even if by a slim chance they were, there wouldn't be enough wood fiber left to properly anchor these inserts. If they aren't anchored properly as soon as you put any kind of torque on the bolts to hold the drivers these would surely pull out.
I am basing this on the photo, because those look rather large, perhaps in real life they aren't.

They work well with drivers that have a large flange, such as large woofers, some mids and tweeters."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

I'd never use those for any speakers, good way to ruined speakers (especially old ones where the chip wood has expanded and is brittle). I've seen the damage those can do in furnitures and other cheap press board manufacturing.DARE TO SOAR:

There is some kind of screw-in metal insert in the MDF for securing the XO plate (and I think the drivers too) on my 1.2's. I had to run one of them back in with an allen wrench after taking off the XO plate. I think they are the same as in your photo.'65 427 Shelby Cobra

Larry's rings are the most elegant solution. I will stick with them. The Gear... Hurricane nuts from Parts Express also work very well, should Larry not have rings available. The 8-32's with 1" cap head socket screws and 4 mm stainless steel washers are ideal for almost any Polk cabinets."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

These were in all locations in my SRS's. I first thought they were something that a previous owner had added until i found one stuck in the factory glue that had inadvertently fell into the enclosure while being built. I am with Technokid I would not use these on anything. I removed all and replaced with T-nuts. I am attaching some pics of what i found in my cabinets.
here you can see them in the cabinets
this is the one I found in the glue
this is the damage they can cause. This was located at one of the crossover mounting holes.
There are much better options. Though I haven't personally used them I would think Larry's rings would be the best option if they are available for your model. T-nuts would be a close second. If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!

Yep those were in my 1.2tl's as well and most would work there way out a little. I would pass on them my self!!! if the rings are not for you use the T-nuts!!

I wouldn't use them in press board either. They work fine in MDF and hard woods though as long as you drill the correct size pilot hole."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. My SRS have these in the bottom plate to mount the feet/spikes in. I assume they are standard there since the bottom plate is hardwood, though I suppose they could have been added by prior owner.2 Channel

Hurricane Nuts or Larry's rings would be your best bet. Those things look like they would cause to much damage to me.
