Unbeknownst to me, my mom saved these things for about 40 years.

Packed away until we began clearing her storage bldgs. after her recent death.

Im planning on getting the super charger fixed it has to be a simple setup in that thing, the cars still fly.

More pics, we also found and old vibrating football game and a huge hockey game you played sorta like foosball, the football game was awful, but the hockey game was pretty damn fine.

And a pioneer cx 7000 I had forgotten all about, It has a stereo repair shop sticker on the back from las vegas, must have been a goodwill or salvation army find.

Hot wheels look GREAT!

The Paddy Wagon and the Red Baron from Tom Daniels creative mind. I owned most of that collection when I was 7 or so too. Mine didn't make it as far as I know since my drug addicted family cleaned out the estate and took everything just about to the dump. There was a hurricane bearing down on us here and I had to stay here instead. Family letters from grandparents to my parents....to the DUMP. Sickening....

But I guess it better than other stories I've heard.

Nice that your Momma would keep those. Mine sold the hundreds of HW/Matchbox that we had for $100 to a neighbor of hers without asking us about them or even inquiring about value. I don't actually believe that they were still mine after 35 years, but I guess the lack of knowledge about them literally cost her thousands of dollars with the lame transaction she made. Karma......

Nice Scotty :biggrin: , you have some good'uns there, that unassuming red police chief crusier in red might be the 'big one' IIRC, you can go here http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/forumdisplay.php?f=52 for links to sites on values, South Texas Diecast comes to mind, but there are others, the colors are what to look for, some are worth hundreds and thousands more than others. The fact that they were yours as a kid makes them priceless, bless your Mom for saving them!

Those are some nice cars you got there, and thanks for the link, will def. be checkin it out as i will be looking to sell after getting the super charger working and running these guys around the tracks.

Its funny, the performance on the track varys greatly depending on the car, and most of it came right back to me as i looked through the collection.

The taller ones, such as paddy wagon are not that stable, the low long heavy ones, such as twinmill, are stable but too heavy to win many multilap races, the little dune buggy and red baron types are a little unstable, and that would leave the maverick, camaro type size and shape as the best at getting around the track and beating stuart alexander, my arch nemesis across blount st.

Let me ask you stuwee, are your small cars a later generation, they seem to differ a little from the vintage stuff.

The ones in the pics are mostly 5 to 10 years old, so yeah they're newer, I'm saving the Red Lines and blackwalls for my retirement, the ecomomy has to pick up again, and baby boomers somewhere will be shelling out the big bucks again.

I have several thousand HW's, Matchbox and Johnny Lightning's (those are the fastest in vintage hard plastic wheels). I don't have a track, but I do send some off to the races a guy in CT does on that HobbyTalk link. There's a Camaro that holds the best time and has yet to be beat in 7 years IIRC.

I'm pretty well known over there Scotty, if you decide to sign up and sell there let be know, I'll vouche for ya!
