Well I survived, didn't actually get a lot of work done since the morning was taken up with filling out endless piles of paperwork! When the .... did getting a job become so complicated?

I met a nice bunch of people who all volunteered themselves to pick me up at Attleboro, or S. Attleboro station in the morning & drop me off at night to save me $14.00 each way in cab fare! Needless to say I appreciate it. It's a long day for me, up at 4:30am to get out the house at 5:30 to catch the commuter rail at South Station. But my boss is letting me go early so that I can catch a 3:25 train back rather than hang around for a 5:30 train. I wouldn't get home til after 7:00.

It's only going to be for a couple of weeks while I'm training, then I'll be in Boston.

Scotty, I'll be verifying medical insurance coverage for patients.

LOL, you have to take the Red line north, to get the train south?! Thank God this is only temporary.

If you had wheels, I'd suggest driving over to Norwood, and catch the train there, but then you'd get rolled on the parking fees.

Oh no, if there is one thing I've learned through this mess is that if this was a preview of what my retirement will be like, I'm NEVER going to retire. If I hadn't gone back to school, I would have ended up in a psych ward!

After spending our whole lives working, it is very hard to simply stop and have all this free time that you don't know what to do with. Every day is the same that you start losing track of them. You need something to fill all those hours that you used to spend working.

If finances allowed...I would retire today. I have a lifetime of things I want to do in retirement...none of which involve work. I've already paid into social security for over 42 years and there were several earlier years of "cash" jobs when I was younger. I'm tired of work even though I'm probably 7-8 years away from my "full" retirement age. My main concern is not if I will have enough money to do it all...but will I have time to do everything I want to do.
