To me, racks like that look more like scaffolding than furniture, and I prefer furniture.

I am building my own right now, each shelf will be spiked and have a piece of acrylic 1" thick 24" x 19" for the shelfs, it's costing me a few dollars but it will be how I want it to look. It will also match my TT shelf as well..

You have significant skills and access to lots of machines. It makes me jealous sometimes .
P.S. Are you using the brass speakers from the Group buy?"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

Yup, but the materials and skills required are something a caveman (like myself) could do. It could be a good start for you till you find that "one" rack..."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Looks like the old type living room shelving kits (of the 70s if I can recall), wooden posts and shelves (nothing wrong with that).
I'm starting a project similar to this for my equipment this week. I'm in the planning stage. Cost should be minimal and parts will be a little different. But I', hoping with a little creative thinking I can make it look half decent.Pn51D550

That all looks nice! But it's too pricey for me. My HT rack was about 100, got in on clearance for 25! The other day I just picked up a five shelf storage unit from Sears for 40; to hold my vintage receivers, some Adcom amps, pre-s, etc. 250 lbs per shelf, it does the job....no it's not pretty, but it's in my home office. And boy does it save space! Oh, I put sliders under it so I can move it out to connect wires, etc., then slide it back against the wall.
Of course, if you have the cash to burn, by all means spend it on something nice!
