    Do you know if there are microphonic? So many of the long plate tubes are and I've read especially the 6211's. I am interested but leary. I assume these are long plates, atleast compared to a typical 12AT7 or 12AU7.

    H9 not speaking for doc but I'm sure you know just as much as I do that it hard to test for microphonics. I have so many tubes that I can use in my amps but ring like a bell in my CJ pre.
    If life had more tubes it would be a lot smoother.

    Yep, that's why I always take em back of they are noisy as the At1000 test works well but isn't foolproof. I am hooking up the tester to the PC to do the microphonics test now.

    I'm a newbie with tubes, but what does a microphonic tube sound like?

    It acts like a microphone. Tap it lightly or rub it with a pencil and you will hear it though the speakers. A microphonic tube will pick up all kinds of noise as it acts like a microphone. Including giving feeback through the speakers.

    I didn't have a chance to hook em up yet and do the micro test, sorry.

    Maybe around 55 for these? I hooked them up and one section on the 2nd tube had a bit of "ting" to it. That said, they could work just fine in your circuit, not sure. I'm willing to lose the shipping if they don't work it. They do have the long "flat" plates with vertical ridges.
