Marantz 2270 receiver

Part II of my moving sale, the Marantz is in great shape, I'd say 7/10 in cosmetics, it has the usual metal cab scratches and scuffs, the faceplate edges are sharp, all the lettering in great shape, there are some small black hash marks " " just to the right of the Model 2270 on the top of the faceplate I haven't been able to remove. The wood cab shown is not the factory one, it came from an older Accuphase piece a friend had, it just sits on top of the receiver, it doesn't slide on like the original, it doesn't have a bottom part, the feet on the receiver are still there.

Working condition is very good, it could use a good deoxit on the volume control, it's been about three years since it was last done. The selector knob can come off but switches just fine. The tuning meter light is out (second meter on the left) and one or two lights in the dial are out or on the way out. I never used the tuner much but with a cheapy wire antenna it pulls in good. I mainly used it as a preamp and lost the jumpers for the amp section, I'll test that later tonight, it should be fine. I'd prefer local pick up on this one like with my other sale of the ML's and the Yamaha amp. I just don't have much time to special pack it properly. I'm asking $125. Thanks for looking
The Teac cassette deck is NOT for sale, sorry.

This is a PHENOMENAL receiver guys. I've had plenty of experience with it and it's little brother, the 2245. These things put out such a signature sound that is euphoric and so sweet. I'm using an integrated from this era and can't get away from that vintage marantz sound!
If I didn't have my Model 1150, I'd be ALL OVER THIS at that insanely low price. -
that's a great price! glwys
i've been enjoying my 2270 since 94, i think -
Great price for a highly collectible bit of kit.

Sorry to see you have to sell that piece and at such a 'low' price. You can't touch these units for less than 250 on ebay. And if you get into a bidding war, forget about it; 350 is a pretty average outcome. And just try to get one from an Audiodon member for less than 3 large...lots of luck there--those guys all think they're selling you the LAST Marantz on the face of the earth! So you're almost selling for a 1/3 of what you could get elsewhere.
I know I paid, way more than I would have liked for my 2265..with no case.
Take care. And good luck with the move!
