Video Cables

I use Monster THX1000 component video line because my TV only has a component input. did I make a good choice or fair choice? The picture looks great to me and so do the colors, unfortunately I can't use progressive scan because of my outdated TV.

Next to HDMI the Component cables as good as it's going to get for now? Should I just wait until I can use HDMI and hang on to what I have? I feel like I should just wait although it's gonna be a while until I get a new TV.

What VIDEO cables do you use?

The picture looks great to me and so do the colors

    Isn't that all that matters?
