My wife bought this rack for all my gear because she wants a rack that matches the rest of our decor. Can you believe it? She says it's a present to herself! Any girl who gets a rack upgrade with her own dollars is a great wife in my book. Wooh Hooh!

Here's a photo Chris from Timbernation just sent over after shipping the rack off.

My wife is the same way. She has been trying to match all our stuff (entertainment center, speakers) to some end tables. You would think its the other way around but nope.

So she's trying to get me to get rid of my nice open air black entertainment center and buy something that costs as much as a TV so its wood with a cherry finish lol......

There is some very realistic looking self-stick, woodgrain vinyl sheeting that might "fool" her.

Yeah, but the fact its open air kills it. She wants to "hide" everything whereas I want to show it off lol..... so I figure I will let her "hide it", provided I get to upgrade so its even better than it is now lol

That rack is so damn pretty it's a shame your going to hide most of it with gear.

Congrats on having such a tasteful and giving wife.

Congrats! Very nice figuring in that Maple.

I had been watching a few Timbernation pieces on Audiogon. Their work appears to be well made, sturdy and purdy.

It's not like buying a new couch or a new kitchen or something.

If you buy your wife a new rack, it's something you'll use every day.

In short, what was the troubles? My wife's experience with Chris seems to have been perfect. He told her how to measure my current rack and room dimensions in order to help her make the right purchasing decision. The guy is ok in my book.

Joke aside, congrats! I really like the bulky rustic style look, wood is always classy in my book. Is the new rack to be used in 2 channels or HT room?

Compromise! Tell her you agree to put year behind doors but you want a clear rack so the inside can be seen (just like her China)! ;)

Wow, read the thread. It sounds effed up. Fortunately, Chris's actions speak louder than that thread . . . at least as they pertain to me. My wife said she ordered the rack 10 days ago and he indicated it would take 7-10 days to make and ship. On track to me.
