Ram Tube Works

Does anyone have any experience with Ram Tube Works? I either can't find any info on them here or I'm too dumb to find it... They look like a reseller to me using a number of "stock tubes" which are probably matched and graded or something. I know tube resellers can be a good or bad thing, but just looking to see if anyone had used them, or had any friends/family that have.

I used some Ram Labs in a preamp for years and really thought they were great. Replaced with a second set and had same excellent results. After about 15 years, it was time for a third set and didn't have ready access at that point.
A bit difficult to buy from and maybe slow by what I read around. But he does carefully grade and you get excellent, superb tubes in my opinion. I'd bought from a third party (Welborne Labs) which is no longer an option. Don't know if anyone else does the same but if you can find them that way...you're likely to get pretty good results as far as I know and have experienced for myself.
Hope that helps!
CJA so called science type proudly says... "I do realize that I would fool myself all the time, about listening conclusions and many other observations, if I did listen before buying. That’s why I don’t, I bought all of my current gear based on technical parameters alone, such as specs and measurements."
More amazing Internet Science Pink Panther wisdom..."My DAC has since been upgraded from Mark Levinson to Topping." -
I'm a big Modjeski fan in regards to his designs and equipment but as far as the tubes go, they're no different than any other high grade reseller. Welborne is/was a known customer service nightmare in the used circuit.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Unless Roger has changed his point of view he is of the opinion that good sounding tubes are ones that have been thoroughly tested using an advanced evaluation procedure rather than who makes them. He tests for noise, gain and distortion and is able to accurately grade each tube. I haven't used his tubes for many years, but he certainly knows how tubes should function.
