i want to mount my rt25i's on my wall, however, i dont want to mount them flush against wall with the <plastic> key hole found on back. i noticed 4 'holes' in a rectangular shape that seem to be made to receive screws. am i right on this or are they for porting or something? i couldnt find any reference to this in the manual.

welcome to the forum! it's nice to see someone else from atlanta on here.
if i'm not mistaken, the power port assembly on the back of the rt25i is made for a flush mount on the wall. i have the rm7500's at home and i have my surrounds mounted flush on the wall using the power port.
as for the four holes in the back, i don't know what to tell you. hopefully ken will be able to answer that question for you.

Call Polk customer service, they will give you all the info that you need. Ken Swauger works there, he is a splendid fellow that will go out of his way to help you out.

The 4 holes in the back match up with an Omnimount speaker bracket mounting plate.
I have a pair of RT15i's mounted on the wall using these brackets, and I highly recommend them.
BTW, you can buy these brackets through Polk Club Shopping, or try their website at www.omnimount.com. -
welcome to the forum, rayers1... try to post more often!

thanks for the tips....i did call polk customer service and (ken) was very helpful. he did say the predrilled *dimples* found on the back were indeed for a mounting plate. even though i did not want to mount these speakers flush, the keyhole on the plastic power port looked flimsy to me. glad to find that Omnimount makes a bracket the proper size for this speaker (53 series). btw bought the speakers at Circuit City and they sold me their largest mounting bracket but it wasnt large enough for this application (which added to my confusion). i hope polk will add this trivia to their owners manual some day so people like me wont drill holes in the sides of their speakers as the instructions for the brackets i originally bought suggests!
