I have been reading the reviews with great interest. While some reviews have not been good for the product itself, it is very refreshing to see such honest reviews. Granted the reader has to take into account, that the equipment is just on loan and the persons using it have to try to find the right synergy with their own equipment. I do take into account that "results will vary". Any Polk product I have bought (4 pair of speakers ) has always been a great value for the money and I do not hesitate to tell others when given a chance.
I just wanted to say "thanks" for the honest reviews, as you hear it. -
I have this receiver powering my SRS 2's. I'm curious, how did it sound powering the 707's?
It had the widest soundstage of all the gear we used in the first room. We didn't use it in the second room. Detail in the music was more pronounced but that may be that the rest of our demos in that room were with tube preamps which tend to add more warmth while losing some detail. It was set to all EQ and DSP turned off.____________________________________________________________

Thanks ender for a great review. I recall hearing a modded pair of LSi9's and would have to agree with your assessment.____________________________________________________________

I just wanted to follow up on these speakers after about 80 hrs of break-in time. As I mentioned earlier the soundstage has continued to expand, but I still have to say the DCM Timeframes still have a slightly wider soundstage. They are very close. The bass is much tighter and more musical now while the highs are gaining more detail, but remain SMOOTH! The midrange is very smooth and buttery. They impress me more and more everytime I play them. I'm listening to Thelonious Monk, Brilliant Corners on SACD right now and they sound fantastic. They sound very good or better with everything I've played on them so far. I am really digging these speakers.
