Bought 4 R300s and Need a Center Channel Speaker,Have a Dead CS200 and okKlipsch KV-2
Bought 4 new R300s and Need a Center Channel Speaker, And I want the center to match the R300s as much as possible. Should I buy another new or used a new center or fix up and/or find my other center channel speakers? Got the R300s on sale and would prefer not to spend another $150 or so on a center. Also looking for a sub - small apt.
-Have a Dead CS200 (no label anymore, just my guess based on the drivers)
- blown 5001 tweeter and 1 of 2 MW4801 mids are blown (I think these are 4.5 inch drivers and the tag says made in 1994). Are these drivers still available, if so at what cost. If not aval anymore, what could I replace them with. Or should I just forget about fixing it up?
- and I have a Functional Klipsch KV-2 and a moderate size klipsch surround speaker (with drivers that are about 75 degrees deflected from each other). But would the timbre, etc match the Polks? Does it matter?
I also have an Onkyo 570 5.1 system with a HT-320 Onkyo receiver. I have an Outlaw Audio 1050 receiver elsewhere - in storage.
Do you folks think it is worth fixing the CS200 with new drivers?
Would it be worth getting the other Klipsch centers out of storage - likely to be an all day affair just to find them.
My goal is not just to find or have a center, but rather - I would like to find a center to match the R300s. The CSR mentioned on the website uses a 5.5 inch driver not the 6.5 inch mid driver on the R300.
Also would like a less "chuffy" center than the Onkyo. But my temp apt is small and I have neighbor above me.
Thanks all in advance for your suggestions.

The one and only proper match for the R300's is the CSR, and that is the only one I would recommend. Just because the midbass drivers are different sizes (5.5 vs 6.5) that doesn't mean they aren't timbre matched. At any rate, if you use something else, it will be a gamble. As for new or used, that is up to you.
