opinion monitor 12's or sda 1c?

I am wanting to purchase some vintage Polks, I have a old pair of monitor 5's that I love. I just wanting something a little more full range in a floor standing model. I listened to some sda's in a showroom many years ago and remember liking them but I just want to make sure I don't end up with a gimmicky sound.
So in a straight comparison (# of drivers and size) it seems like its gonna be monitor 12's or sda 1c.
Anyone care to share their opinion?

    Owned both. Not a apples to apples comparisons but I still have the 1c's.
