I liked the last 2 , they where entertaining and great audio tracks. I didn't go see this one in the theater as I did with the others. It didn't look as interesting. I might just Rent it first to see if it has any reply value. If so I will buy it.

Not me. I bought the first two, and although the first was tolerable, the second was just stupid. There is absolutely nothing redeemable about these movies, so buying the third is just a waste of money. This isn't Matrix, Terminator, Lord of the Rings, or even Harry Potter level material.

Totally agree Mike. It's not rocket science and it's not supposed to be. It's just fun entertainment. I have this and all the Marvel Comic movies on my list to buy once Blockbuster puts the used rentals on sale.

I agree with most. the first one great, the second one ok to good, the third one just crappy and too damm long, they tried to cram way too much info too loaded and freaking long and intense and not in the good way.

Not worth a purchase in my humble opinion

well the bluray is supposed to be reference quality video and audiowise so if you want to show off the system you might want to consider it even if you don't like it. I'll probably get it for xmas from either my parents or wife as I'm a pretty big Transformers fan overall.

Keep in mind that this release has NO special features. There's a special edition coming later with the 2-D and 3-D versions and as many special features as the past two flicks had. I'm buying the bare-bones one... 'cause it was good dumb fun, and the reviews of this disc are glowing.

My son is a huge Transformers fan. We'll be watching it on my TV in the man cave with my new surround system. I haven't seen it yet, but I know before hand that it's just a special effects extravaganza and I don't have huge expectations so I'm sure it will be fun.

I picked it up at Best Buy today , used my points and got it for 8 bucks , nice!!

I just finished watching it and yeah the sound was amazing , very well done and I felt very deep in the sound as they did an excellent job with the home mix. Video quality was stunning.
Now the story sucked ****. I didn't like this one bit. I think they could come up with a better story , it felt like the other 2 just redone. Awful to say the least.
I still enjoyed it , good eye candy , many nice cars , killer robot battles , Reference sound quality. Entertaining and thats about it.

Video and audio on this are honestly among the best Blu-ray has to offer. I ran the Dolby TrueHD 7.1 track in DPL-IIz Height, and it is seriously the best sound I've heard in my room. VERY impressed! (But yeah, it's big dumb loud Transformers, so don't go into it for the plot.)

I can only hope with moives like these people don't go in expecting one. You're only fooling yourself if you do. Even the trailers spell out exactly what your going to get.

Watched it last night and throughly enjoyed the ride. Great eye candy, great audio and PQ. Bay sure know how to do action sequences, even if some in here were from "The Island". Which by far has one of the best freeway actions sequences to date.

I still maintain that if you cut out all the slow-mo, this would've been a 2 hour movie. Heh...

The slow-mo and the recycled shots from The Island.

Although, I wish Bay would have really slow-mo'd the shots of that chick walking up the stairs in the beginning.

It's not only The Island that he recycles but a lot of sound effects(explosions, shockwave effects, etc) created for the last Transformers as well. You can't really blame him. James Horner has been doing it for years with his film scores.

We just watched the bluray last night and it, by far, is the best audio quality I've ever heard. It has extensive use of the surround channels. Bass in incredible. I think I have new demo material. Story is very average, but its a great escape from your worries for 2.5 hours of video and audio spectacular!!!

The visuals are spectacular but the acting and the whole plotline that now includes his family is a bit thin and uneccesary. I just watched it on the small TV, no surround but I'm sure it's awesome. I'll wait for the Blu-Ray combo pack and get the trilogy. Is there going to be another one? I guess that's a bad question since they will milk it for all its worth I'm sure.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I watched this last night. Plotline was a little thin IMO but then again I watched it more for the action. The audio was pretty good and so was the special effects. I didn't know this movie was so looonnnggg. 2.5 hours.

Robots, what robots?! Oh yeah, those things that kept interrupting the Rosie Huntington whitely movie? Surround sound certainly great, visuals excellent, story just an excuse to have one but really who cares. It's not like i read the book.

Seriously though Rosie, hot d$&&mn! Even if you hate this type of a movie she's enough reason to buy this on bluray.

Remember shogun warriors? Long before the transormers I had the shogun with the firing fists and another with firing missiles.
