This got panned as a lot of fluff and no substance, but I don't care. I'm renting it and if it's cool and the soundtrack rocks, I'm buying it. I love that ****.

I'll flat out buy this on street. Kate, vampires, black leather...nothing more needed to warrent a purchase.

Several friends have seen it and basically say to **** the reviewers, the movie is good, very enjoyable with a great soundtrack and SE's.

Can't wait for the DVD, hopefully before Xmas.

    Peace Out~:D

I go to the theater about 3 times a year and this movie was a MUST. I freaking LOVED it.
2 out of 3 reviewers/critics bashed the hell out of it. The minute they hear Vampire movie it they totally try to destroy it.
The movie is Sony's 7th top weekend movie of the year. A production value of 23 mill. Because they did not have to pay the acters 80 mill alone.
Great acting - great story - and it sounded and looked awesome.
Prediction of weekend intake was 15 mill.
Went up against 5 other new movies and took the top spot at 22 mill basicly paying for the entire production on the opening weekend.
It was premiered in Toronto last week with the tageted audiance and Sony VP's - after the reaction of the crowd and the VP's big smiles - they instanly cut the budget and gave a GO for the filming of the second one before it even hit the box office.
It is amazing how critics and head CEO's are in such denial of what people want to see and what a movie like this will bring in.

Anyway great movie. 4 out of 5 stars!!!!!!

I knew it.......eff the critics. WTG, Scott. I know what I like and I don't give a rat's **** if it doesn't have the intellectual stimulation of "A Beautiful Mind". I'm gettin' it.

The only good critic is yourself, anyway. BUT, I do judge how much I might like a movie by one critic - Ebert. The more he likes it, the more I *usually* hate it! :)

I thought the movie was just allright and could have been much better with one change.:

Get rid of the actor who was the head of the Vampires (Not Victor but the other guy) That was some of the worst overacting I have ever seen. It looked like he was constantly constipated :( and tried to pass it every time he talked.

This just ruined any steam the movie had with me.

Kate made the movie though... :p
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin
